ICS is a movie club for lovers of fantasy, science fiction, mystery and horror films. We are open to anyone who wants to have a good time socializing with other people who have the same interest in movies that you do! The Imaginative Cinema Society meets the last Saturday night of each month at 5:30pm at the Perry Hall Presbyterian Church, located at 8848 Belair Road, Perry Hall (we are an independent group; not church affiliated) Board Member Election Results: Congratulations to the winners: Dave Henderson, Nina Hawes, Tom Proveaux, Charlie Wittig and John Ward! Coming up this month on February 25, 2012 - Nina will be presenting "Dracula at the Movies"! First popularized in 1847 via novel by Bram Stoker, we'll explore the famous vampire's portrayal in movies. |

Set in the year, 1875 in New Mexico Territory, an amnesiac, outlaw (Craig), wanders into the town of Absolution, run by a wealthy cattleman (Ford). Along with a stranger/traveler (Wilde) the three unite together to save the townspeople from alien invasion. The movie is based on a graphic novel (2006) by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. It was released in theaters in July of 2011, after being in the works since 1997. |
